I can understand a teacher “loosing it.” I can not understand, however, fellow teachers just standing by, as reported in this ABC News video.

Oh my God! That is disgusting! I hope she does get criminally prosecuted!
That kid deserved it!!!! I have low tolerance for bad kids. What are parents teaching this children these days?!?!?!

Teachers purport to be professional. The actions of that teacher in that video are not the actions of a professional, unless of course, that profession is prison guard. Teachers, we are constantly reminded, are trained to manage and lead their class. The teacher in that video lost control of herself and her class.
In this instance, don’t even consider laying this outrageous incident exclusively, or other wise, on the parent.
Every day, we read or see on television, some repugnant act attributed to a “professional” teacher or administrator. If it isn’t physical abuse it’s sexual abuse. I, for one am tired of it!
Now I am sure that someone out there will bring up molestation by priests as a defense for not discussing child abuse at school.
Child abuse should be addressed and fought in all instances; with those perpetrating the crime, jailed.
6:32, you need professional counseling if you think any child ever deserves a beating like that from anyone!
